Formerly known as Colonial Charters, Palmetto Greens has undergone extensive renovations. Newly designed by Golf Course Architect Rick Robbins, the course offers many challenging and fun-filled days for golf lovers. Two brand new waterfalls and bent grass greens make this course a desirable play for golfers of all levels.
Located north of North Myrtle Beach on SC9, Palmetto Greens is a pro style course with an average number of traps, plenty of water hazards and undulating greens. Many amateur and pro tournaments have been played here. 1992's Carolina Open, 1994 Myrtle Beach Hurricane Professional Open, Carolina's PGA senior Professional Championship and the NCAA 'Big South' Conference Championship were played at what was then called Colonial Charters.
Golf Reporter Magazine has presented what was known then as Colonial Charters with its prestigious '5 Tee Around'. #18 is a very challenging finishing hole and one of the best in Myrtle Beach.
