Since its establishment in 1974, West Winds Golf Club has continually provided its customers with an unparalleled golfing experience. Having been a private club the last few years, a limited number of golfers have had the opportunity to enjoy this unique course, making it one of Frederick County's best-kept golfing secrets. However, we are pleased to announce that West Winds Golf Club is now semi-private and open to the public.Located in New Market, MD, West Winds Golf Club is nestled in and amongst a private community that borders the beautiful Lake Linganore area.
The course features a tremendous amount of doglegs, elevation changes, and undulated greens with surprisingly quick speed. Every shot from tee-to-green requires precision and thought when navigating through this tight course layout with strategically placed bunkers. No club in your bag will go unused as you tackle the wide array of par 3, and lay-up distances on this 6525-yard course.
Although, not a very long course each players shot making ability will be put to the test. The par-5 13th hole best displays the diversity of West Winds Golf Club. On this double dogleg par-5, it's recommended to keep your driver in the bag as a lay-up tee shot and precise second shot are needed to reach the tucked-away green in regulation.
