Rocky River Golf Club To Re-Surface Greens
Rocky River Golf Club at Concord will be re-surfacing their greens to an ultradwarf bermudagrass.  The type of grass is MiniVerde, which produces a fantastic putting surface, and is a very heat tolerant grass.  With the increasingly severe summer heat in the past 3 years, many private, and upscale public facilities are making the same type of transition.  Two notable examples are the Atlanta Athletic Club which hosted the 2011 PGA Championship, and East Lake CC which hosts the PGA Tour Championship each year.
Rocky River will be on temporary greens for approximately 2 months (July and August 2012).
